No More Store Bought Bread

We all live busy lives and one thing we all love is our bread.  In our house, we love to bake together all of the time. One simple way to do this is with a bread machine. Our go-to breakfast recipe is Oatmeal Cinnamon Apple Bread.    

 Like I keep saying about our skincare, you should always be able to read all of the ingredients of everything that you are putting on or in your body. Breads from the supermarket are loaded with chemicals. Some of these ingredients are even banned in other countries.  Common breads have ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, potassium bromate, nitrogen dioxide, and these are just a few. They are linked to liver and gut problems, diabetes, asthma, and even cancer.  

A bread machine makes it so simple for a busy family.  I didn’t believe it until I finally gave it a try. You simply add your wet ingredients, then the dry, shut the door and three hours later you have bread! It even has a smart automatic dispenser that drops down your fruit and nuts. When ready so they are evenly throughout the bread after it rises.  It mixes everything for you and no kneading of the dough. With the beep of the machine, you’ll have soft, hot bread ready to eat.

More great features of the bread machine is the bread is held in a ceramic pan so it is BPA, Teflon and PTFE free. Has as 15-hour delay timer so you can enjoy fresh bread in the morning and a 1-hour automatic keep warm.

Our favorite tool to help us chop these apples (and our favorite chopped salads) is the Magic Bullet. It saves us time and evenly chopped foods.

We bake bread a few times a week.  Bread was just another way that we are deciding to make healthier choices.
